About Chiara Ferrucci

Teacher and yoga instructor by day.
Romantasy author by night.

I live between two worlds: the one filled with lesson plans and mindful breathing… and the one that only appears when the candles are low and the dreams begin.

My first book was written when I was eight years old.

I woke up from a dream so vivid I could still taste the storm in the air and hear a man’s voice — dark, sarcastic, impossibly old — whispering secrets no history book had ever told me. I grabbed whatever notebook I could find and wrote the entire story before breakfast. The characters didn’t feel invented. They felt remembered.

That’s how it has always been for me.

Every hero, every villain, every cursed poet or reckless modern woman arrives first in my dreams. They walk into the room, tell me their secrets, and refuse to leave until I put their story on paper. Lord Byron didn’t come to me in a library. He came to me in a dream — standing on the steps of Villa Diodati while lightning cracked across the sky, Lilith smiling behind him, and a blonde girl in a blue dress laughing in his face.

The Darkness Saga is not something I planned. It is something I was given.

Night after night the Villa kept calling me back, and I simply started writing down what I saw.

So if you pick up these books and feel like the characters already know you… that’s because they knew me first — in the dreams.

Welcome to my secret history. I’m so glad you’re here.
